These bid specification templates build on the Requirements and Guidelines for Installation of Off-grid Solar Systems for Public Facilities and are intended to help project developers and development programs write technical bid specifications for small and midsize public facilities such as rural schools and health clinics.
The first section of the document provides detailed guidance for structuring technical bid specifications for service-based installations with consideration for long-term operation and maintenance. The second section provides blank templates that can be copied and filled in for use in procurement processes. Note that procurement processes will differ and these documents should be adapted to meet the needs and requirements of the specific procurement process.
These bid specification templates may be used in conjunction with the Off-grid Public Facilities PV System Design Tool.
