It is important to have all products that currently meet the Lighting Global Quality Standards listed on the Lighting Global website in order to provide a reliable resource to stakeholders and to prevent counterfeiting of the Standardized Specification Sheet (SSS) and Verification Letter (VL) provided by Lighting Global in support of products that meet the standards.
We have noticed a small but increasing trend in manufacturers who do not follow through on finalizing the SSS and VL for their product or who request a delay in having their product posted to the website so that listing of the product occurs when it is publicly launched.
In order to maintain the integrity of the list of quality-verified products on the Lighting Global website we have implemented the following new procedures outlined in this policy.
