Lighting Global is the World Bank Group’s platform to support sustainable growth of the international off-grid solar market as a means of rapidly increasing energy access to the more than 1.1 billion people worldwide who presently live without access to affordable, reliable and safe modern energy.
Lighting Global supports the country program work of Lighting Africa and Lighting Asia through client services, product quality assurance, knowledge management and crosscutting support to link country programs and leverage the World Bank collaboratively. We also work through partnerships with the industry association coupled with direct services to client companies (“Associates”) who deliver modern energy services through sales of Lighting Global Quality Verified solar products.
