Lighting Asia/India’s Consumer Awareness Campaign wins 4 awards at the Flame Awards 2016!

image008Lighting Asia/India’s “SuryodayTM” Campaign has won four awards at the Flame Awards 2016 instituted by the Rural Marketing Association of India. These are the only awards constituted with focus on rural markets in the country (http://flameawards.com/). The awards won are:

  • Gold for the “Best film of the year” – Suraj ki Gullak
  • Gold for “Best Channel Development and Trade Activation of the year”
  • Silver for the “Radio Campaign of the Year” – SuryodayTM
  • Bronze for the “New on ground property of the year”

Suryoday’ means Sunrise; ‘Suraj ki Gullak’ means Solar Piggybank and ‘Badh Gaya Din’ means the day has increased. For more details about the program, visit: www.lightingasia.org
The campaign, whose objective was to increase the awareness of quality assured solar lighting products was implemented across 9000 + villages in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan during November 2014 – December 2015. The campaign reached more than 2,00,000 people comprising men, women, children and retailers across these villages through mobile van units, women groups meetings, school connect program and a retailer contact initiative.
