A new solar lantern has just passed Lighting Global Minimum Quality Standards and met its recommended performance targets. Pharos’ Great White Light, distributed by Solar Green Africa, is both an ambient and task light, with mobile charging capacity. It can be hung from the ceiling, affixed to a beam or a fence or carried around the neck.
Pharos has made it its mission to create products that replace kerosene and respond to the dire situations faced by off6grid communities.

To date, over 50 pico-powered lighting systems have passed Lighting Global’s quality-tests, thereby expanding the range of accessible products at various price points for rural communities in Africa.
